About us
ECO MOTORSPORT is a non-for-profit organization specifically formed to create, promote and maintain a professionally administered sport and industry environment, ensuing the viability of the professional and recreational electric vehicle racing industry for the benefit and enjoyment of all key stakeholders. - Those that participate in those that watch and those that provide the infrastructure for those that participate.
The development of, the governance of, the implementation of ,and review of and enforcement of the rules and regulations for Electric Powered Micro, Mini and Medium size mobility devises being used for the purpose of racing and or competitive activities.
Devices such as karts (go karts), skateboards, scooters, bicycles, buggies and electrified scaled down vehicles both sedan and open wheel styled, used on either hard pavement (bitumen/concrete) or loose surfaces such as dirt/gravel/sand.
Rules and regulations are developed specifically for Australia and New Zealand but cognisant of the need to relate to and or be interchangeable with international events wherever possible.
Overarching principle for all rules and regulations is:
- safety of participants and spectators
- equity and level playing field
- simplicity
- enjoyment
- lowest possible cost
- inclusivity

Growing together
The advent of and transition to sustainable fuels and electrified power trains needs to be a joint exercise between the custodians of the sport, the suppliers to the sport , the participants of the sport, the promoters of the sport and the viewers of the sport. EMS is committed to working with all those involved in the sport and developing rules and regulations that benefit the sport and not ruling the sport like some Medieval Systemic Adversarial dictatorship.
Eco Motorsports provides rules , regulations and governance for competitive activities of E Karts, E Bikes ( pedal) E Bikes (motor) E Skate boards, E Scooters, E buggies, E Silhouette ( scaled down versions of full sized)Vehicles and urban mobility devices.
Eco Motorsports can assist in development of rules and regulations and governance of competitive and display activities of E powered devices both in purpose built venues and also in public spaces.
Eco Motorsports is not for -profit, Membership Organization established to help all involved to enjoy all aspects of Electric Racing in Australia. Providing Regulations, Instruction and Certifications, Racing Series, Insurance, and Venues for fair and safe Electric Racing on all levels, Eco Motorsports has a place for everyone in E Racing
The Benefits
Eco Motorsports owns the rights to its name, logo, imagery and the sporting and technical rules and regulations it publishes. Eco Motorsports complies with international standards for E powered devices used for racing purposes. Eco Motorsports is a not for profit entity.
Eco Motorsports is not aligned to or behoven to any other motorsport governing body and acts independently of any special interest groups.
Eco Motorsports has intellectual property rights over all rules and regulations it publishes.
Rules and regulations, amendments and supplementary rules and regulations will be issued as required.
